Cultivation Method
Sowing Time :
Rabi Season – (15th October to 10th November), Kharif Season – can be sown anytime during monsoon
Seed Variety :
Saga Cholino-1 / 2 and other varieties
Spacing :
60 × 30 cm and 90 × 30 cm (For green vegetable production, sowing can also be done during Kharif season as an October crop)
Seed Rate :
20 to 25 kg per acre
Chemical Fertilizer :
Apply 40–50 kg DAP per acre and 10–15 kg basal fertilizer with irrigation water. (Use of UREA is not recommended in bean cultivation.)
Weed Control :
Weed management should be done through intercultivation or manual weeding
Disease Control :
Spray suitable insecticides on time according to intercultivation practices and crop requirements
Crop Duration :
90 to 100 days (For green vegetable harvesting, first picking can be done within 60–65 days)
