Cultivation Method
Sowing Time :
Winter season – October to November; Summer season – February to March; Kharif season – June to July.
Seed Variety :
Saga Manek, SSR-17, Shyam-99/90, Saga Early, and Gujarat-2/3/4/5/6.
Plant Spacing :
45 to 60 cm between rows and 15 to 20 cm between plants.
Seed Rate :
3 to 6 kg per acre.
Fertilizer Requirement :
Apply 4 to 8 kg Nitrogen per acre, 5 to 6 kg Phosphorus per acre, and 4 to 5 kg Potash per acre.
Weed Control :
Perform hand weeding or intercultivation and apply Pendimethalin before germination.
Pest/Disease Control :
Treat seeds before sowing and spray suitable insecticides and fungicides when required.
Crop Duration :
70 to 120 days.
